In the old IOS Apple Classroom was underneath Bluetooth in Settings. In 18.2 it is gone. The iPad is on the same network as the teacher iPad and still nothing. Please help!

In iPadOS 18.x settings for apps have been moved from the main view of Settings into the App section of Settings. You should be able to view that by going to Settings > Apps > Classroom
