How do you help teachers see the true classroom potential of Apple tools? Give them room to play, create, and compete!
This year, we're doing Apple Teacher Professional Learning a little differently! We're going to incorporate an Apple Teacher Creation Choice Board covering Freeform*, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Clips/iMovie.
Every session as we explore a new app together, teachers will not only earn a badge, but they will complete one task of their choice from the board associated with that targeted app. These projects will not only give teachers ideas for how their students can apply their learning creatively, but will empower our teachers with the skills and the knowledge base to foster that creativity in their classes. Tasks are leveled between 1-3 points for complexity and time expected to give teachers more flexibility in their choice. These tasks can also help our teachers complete their Apple Teacher Portfolio!
*Based on teacher requests for learning and classroom ideas, we incorporated Freeform onto the choice board instead of GarageBand, though we still cover GarageBand within the Apple Teacher learning process.
I'm so excited to utilize this idea this year to make our Apple Teacher PD even more fun and applicable for our educators.
