I learned how to effectively use the Freeform app to create engaging and interactive classroom projects that enhanced student learning and participation. Through this platform, I designed and implemented a variety of digital activities, including digital worksheets, Passion to Purpose projects, and Social-Economic Web of Influence assignments. These activities allowed students to organize ideas visually, connect concepts, and demonstrate understanding in creative ways. The app also supported the integration of multimedia content, making lessons more interactive and accessible for different learning styles.
In addition, Freeform provided opportunities for real-time collaboration and communication among students. I created collaborative activities such as Venn diagrams, web scavenger hunts, and brainstorming boards where students could work together simultaneously and share ideas instantly. These projects promoted teamwork, creativity, critical thinking, and organization skills while keeping students actively engaged in the learning process. I also shared many of the ideas, projects, and possibilities of using Freeform with my PLC, helping expand collaborative teaching strategies across our team. Exploring the endless possibilities within the app reinforced my long-term goal of completing the three-year contract to become a DCE 20/20 classroom that is less dependent on my longtime “friend,” the copier machine, while increasing meaningful digital learning opportunities for students.
