In our Grade 2 classroom, learners used Keynote on iPad to transform science learning into an engaging, hands-on experience.
🔹 First, they arranged the steps of the digestive system in sequence using Keynote slides, helping them understand the process in order.
🔹 Next, with the 3D model feature, learners explored the digestive system in detail and used screen recording + camera to explain their understanding in their own words.
🔹 Finally, by switching to Augmented Reality (AR) mode, they viewed the digestive system in real space and shared the process with their peers—making abstract concepts visible and interactive.
✨ This activity demonstrates how Keynote goes beyond presentations—empowering learners to:
- Organize and sequence information
- Explore content in 3D and AR
- Use their voice to reflect and explain
- Collaborate and learn from one another
Keynote becomes a powerful tool for student agency, visible thinking, and creativity in any classroom.

What an incredible example of using Keynote to make science come alive! I love how your students moved from sequencing to 3D exploration to AR—it’s such a thoughtful progression that deepens both understanding and engagement. The way you wove in student voice and reflection really shows how technology can turn complex ideas into creative, hands-on learning experiences. Always impressed at what 2nd graders can do!
