We create better futures when we equip youth with the tools to build as producers and not just consumers. With this mini workshop guide, students will build the skills they need to create a unique emoji image that describes an instance or emotion felt by the youth of today that isn't present on the current emoji keyboard. Youth will use key tools like the shape and icon menu, along with the format tool to create unique designs and configurations. Then youth will have an opportunity to name and give use cases for their emoji. Lastly, youth have an opportunity to reflect on their work and begin to brainstorm on their next project expedition.
