Non-fiction Text Features

When helping a teacher this morning, we developed a “Text Features” lesson that we thought we would share!

The first Pages doc features a drag and drop activity where students will identify various “text features.” The second part levels up the activity by having students find the “text features” in their environment using their camera and a physical text.

The second Pages file features an activity that maximizes formatting “text features” in Pages to organize a document. Table of Contents is pre-populated for students to create their own titles, headings, captions, and more!

Lastly, here’s an Apple Support resource you can use if you want students to format their own work utilizing features like “table of contents” in Pages!
