Kindergarten Data using Numbers

Students were able to count one to one correspondence up to 10. As they recorded their data, a bar graph is created for them to visualize and evaluate which number is more or less and if any groups are equal. After counting picture emojis, students were able to use the step counter to go up or down to the correct number of objects. The graph moves up and down based on the number chosen.

Ohio Learning Standard:

K.CC.3 Write numerals from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects) Count to tell the number of objects.

K.CC.4 Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality using a variety of objects including pennies.
