Telling Our Stories: Elementary Students as Digital Storytellers

Storytelling is such a powerful learning tool. How are your students using Apple tools like iMovie, Clips, or Pages to share their learning journeys or community stories?

This year, my 3rd graders created short Clips videos to highlight acts of kindness around our school. I’d love to gather more project ideas that help students develop their voice through storytelling.

Thanks Laura for the detailed pdf guide on rolling out the storytelling activity - very helpful!

Agree that student storytelling is a wonderful activity for exploring learning journeys or tales of the community. So easy with iMovie or Pages. Voice memos or illustrated Notes would also work nicely.

I like the idea of making content that is relevant across grades/interest areas. Good idea to feature acts of kindness. Clubs are a great place to focus too. I did a project at a high school where students in the gardening club made a short documentary about the club. None had prior video experience. They totally rocked it.
