I have completed the Pop Art Activity and had students turn in their pictures through school using a keynote assignment. Is there anyway that I can pull all of their pictures into one master Keynote to share with the whole class?
Yes! You can absolutely pull all of your students' submitted pictures from their individual Keynote assignments into one master Keynote presentation. The method depends a little on how they submitted the files (via shared drive, AirDrop, LMS, etc.), but here’s a clean, step-by-step workflow to do this efficiently.
✅ GOAL:
Create one master Keynote file that includes each student's Pop Art image(s) in a slide or series of slides.
🛠️ METHOD 1: If Each Student Submitted a Keynote File
🔁 Step-by-Step:
- Collect All Student Files
- Put all their Keynote files in one folder on your Mac or iPad.
- Open Your Own "Master" Keynote File
- Create a blank Keynote presentation (or use a template you like).
- Import Slides from Each Student’s File
- On Mac:
- Go to Insert > Choose and open the first student's .key file.
- Select the slide(s) with their artwork and click Add.
- Repeat for each student.
- On iPad:
- Tap the + button > Import Slide > choose the student file.
- Select the slides you want, then import.
- Rename Slides or Add Labels (Optional)
- You can add the student’s name to each slide to make it easier for sharing/presentation.
🛠️ METHOD 2: If Students Only Submitted Image Files (e.g. JPG or PNG)
🔁 Step-by-Step:
- Download All Images to a Folder
- Save them from your LMS, email, or wherever they turned them in.
- Make sure images are named clearly (e.g. with student names).
- Drag-and-Drop into Keynote
- Open a blank Keynote.
- Drag each image onto a new slide, or use Insert > Choose to add them one at a time.
- You can duplicate a slide template (with a name or title) to make the process faster.
- Use "Light Table" View to Arrange
- View > Light Table will help you quickly organize or rearrange slides.
🚀 Pro Tip: Automate with AppleScript (Mac only, advanced)
If you're comfortable with automation, AppleScript can be used to batch-import images into a Keynote file — let me know if you want a script for that.
✅ Final Touches
- Add a title slide or transitions
- Choose a simple, clean template so the student art is the focus
- Export as a PDF or Movie for easier sharing if needed

In one of the Student Keynotes, click on one of their Slides and then select all (or copy individually). Copy and Paste them into another Keynote (split screen works well for this) and repeat until you have all the content you want in one Keynote.
